Employees will be hired under a ‘home base’ of either Hersheypark or Stadium. The Giant center will not be a 'home base', however both HP and Stadium crews can work GC as well as any of the 3 venues. The 'home base' will determine your minimum availability required throughout the year in order to maintain your employment.  All employees can work at any venue, but home base availability requirements must be met in order to maintain employment. 

Available and not scheduled does not count against you. 

Available and not scheduled at your ‘home base’ does not count against you. 

Available, scheduled and dropped or called off - does count against your availability if the action puts you below the minimum availability requirements

Park:

14/15: 2 shifts per week May-August  / 2 shifts per month September - April

16/17: 3 shifts per week May - August / 2 shifts per month September-April

18+: 3 shifts per week May - August / 2 shifts per month September-April

Supervisors/Runners/Stand Managers: 4 shifts per week & must include at least 1 weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) May - August  /  3 shifts per month September-April

Time off requests will be required for vacations and other absences where you are not able to meet the weekly minimum available hours. College staff will also need to submit time off requests when leaving town for school semesters. If you don't request time off when you leave town/state for college or vacations, you will still be held to the availability minimums and your employment may be terminated if requirements are not met. Excessive time off requests may also result in a warning or termination of employment. 

Termination - Employees must submit a written 2 week notice for employment termination. ID cards must be returned upon termination. A warning will be issued in writing when availability has not been met. Employment will be terminated by the employer if availability minimums are not met. 

Hersheypark Stadium: (This ‘home base’ assignment is for 18+ only)

25% of all shows during the concert season of May-October.

New hires to join during the season will be required to be available 25% of the remaining show dates. 

There are no minimum hours required from September - April but staff is eligible to work at Hersheypark and Giant Center in addition to the Stadium.
